Fatherhood After 40:
Now We’re Talking

Discover real-life stories and candid conversations about the ups and downs of becoming a dad in midlife.

Fatherhood after 40 is increasingly common — but there’s a gap in the conversation about the unique challenges, pressures, and joys that older dads experience.

Meet James Clasper, Your Podcast Host

Originally from London, I now live in Copenhagen with my wife and two kids.

Becoming a father in my 40s was the most rewarding—if exhausting—experience of my life.

As the months passed—and I discovered both the joys and the pitfalls of being an older parent—I found myself wondering:

"Why aren’t more dads my age talking about this?"

After all, while I was a decade older than the average new dad, I was far from alone.

In the US, 10% of new dads are over 40. In the UK, more than 15% are.

Yet I felt there was a gap in the conversation about both the benefits and the challenges that older dads experience.

That’s why I created Dad Mode Activated.
